A beautiful piece of art glass in which a lamp-worked glass pear, blossoms, and stems are attached to a forged steel leaf by sockets into which the stems slide.
Created by Loy Allen, a South Dakota native who studied advanced glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and at The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. She has been self-employed as a flameworker since 1979.
