In the dining room of Laurelton Hall, the country estate of Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) was a large mantelpiece, essentially a floor-to-ceiling sheet of light-colored marble. Three instrument faces set with blue mosaic adorned it, including one beautiful clock face, on which this watch is based.
