The ornately engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals has a finely pierced foliate border, pierced steel hands, and a silvered signature plaque. The brass frame is in the form of the Brighton Pavilion, flanked by gilt-brass lions and surmounted by an eagle. (Attributed to John Smith & Sons, England, c. 1860)
